MANVEL/IOWA COLONY, TX (August 25, 2016) – One of Houston’s newest master-planned communities, the Texas 288 community of Meridiana, will host Apple Fest, a month-long celebration of the most widely grown fruit symbolic of education, great-tasting sweets and fall family fun.

Free and open to the public every weekend in October, Apple Fest will present all-things apple, from candied apples and pie-eating contests to apple cider and apple ale tastings.  Both Apple Fest celebrations will feature food trucks, DJ music along with apple-themed games and bounce houses for the kids.

Visitors to the Apple Fest weekend celebrations in Meridiana also can enter a drawing for the chance to win a new Apple Watch.

Hours for Apple Fest in Meridiana are Saturdays, 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. and Sundays, noon – 6 p.m.

While Apple Fest festivities will be held in the community’s new resort-style Amenity Village, Meridiana also offers the opportunity for families to tour model homes by Houston’s leading homebuilders, each fully furnished and expertly decorated.
