MANVEL/IOWA COLONY (June 6, 2016) – Three new model homes have opened in Meridiana as the Texas Highway 288 master-planned community of new homes completes the first elements of its resort-style Amenity Village in preparation for its first new residents.

Shea Homes has opened a new, fully furnished model where the nation’s largest privately owned new home builder is presenting plans on 70-foot homesites from 2,975 – 4,411 square feet.  Starting in the $380s, Shea’s single and two-story plans feature three, four and five-bedroom designs ideal for entertaining and active families.

A fully furnished model by David Weekley Homes, its second Meridiana model, is now open where the Texas homebuilder is offering new homes from 1,720 – 2,557 square feet on 50-foot homesites.  Starting in the $260s, these smartly designed, three and four-bedroom plans feature an owner’s retreat, open-concept family room and dining, gourmet kitchen and spacious secondary bedrooms.

Perry Homes also has opened an all-new Meridiana model where it is showcasing new luxury homes on 55-foot homesites starting in the $270s.  Plans from 2,187 – 2,997 square feet feature four bedrooms in both single and two-story elevations.   A Perry Homes model for 70-foot homesites, starting in the $380s, is expected to open in the coming weeks.

As Meridiana homebuilders open new models, progress also is being made at the community’s Amenity Village where its Welcome Center and spacious resort-style, fitness center with on-site personal trainer and dedicated children’s area, are now open.

The remainder of the Amenity Village, a family pool with cabanas, lap pool, splash pad, amphitheater, café, fishing pier, glass-walled conservatory set over the water, Soleil’s Ambassador Yacht, Skymap, outdoor play area and 60-foot tall Meridian Tower, are all scheduled to be completed in July as part of Meridiana’s first phase.

Also scheduled to open in July are the first of Meridiana’s outdoor learning labs, three engaging outdoor learning and discovery experiences for every stage of life, created in collaboration with educators from the Alvin Independent School District.

The all-new on-site Meridiana Elementary School will open in August while the Meridiana/Texas Highway 288 interchange is scheduled for completion in October.

Developed by Rise Communities, Meridiana is the newest master-planned community on Texas Highway 288 and the future Meridiana Parkway (now County Road 56) minutes south of the Texas Medical Center.  Spanning 3,000 acres south of Highway 6, Meridiana also is minutes north of several major Brazoria County employers.
