MANVEL/IOWA COLONY (June 3, 2016) – The all-new Texas Highway 288 master-planned community of Meridiana will join the Iowa Colony Police Department to host this year’s Kids Safe Summer, a fun gathering for families to learn how to keep kids safe during the summer, on Saturday, June 18 from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Come to Meridiana’s all-new Welcome Center where children can board a fire truck, wear a fire fighters jacket and try their hand working with life-saving equipment. Plus, every child will receive a free bicycle helmet. The event is free and open to the public.
Meridiana is the newest master-planned community on Texas Highway 288 and County Road 56 (the future Meridiana Parkway), minutes south of Highway 6.
While at the Kids Safe Summer event, parents and their children also can pick up safety tips from the Iowa Colony Police Department, Iowa Colony Volunteer Fire Department and Manvel EMS.
