MANVEL, IOWA COLONY, TX (October xx, 2016) – The all-new Texas 288 master-planned community of Meridiana has completed its expansive lakefront Amenity Village, well ahead of the community’s Spring 2017 grand opening and its first phase of new luxury homes. “Our promise to the market was to first open a luxurious, resort-style Amenity Village,” says Dan Naef, president of Rise Communities, developer of Meridiana. “It’s important for homebuyers to see the level of quality we’ve established for this community.” The lakefront setting features a family pool and cabanas, lap pool, splash pad with slides, fitness center, amphitheater for outdoor concerts, café, fishing pier and outdoor play area with all-weather ping pong and foosball tables, shaded sitting areas and lush central lawn. It also offers a glass-walled conservatory set over the water, ideal for events, and an Ambassador Yacht for Meridiana canine ambassador Soleil, the community’s lovable golden retriever. “There’s simply no other amenity package of this quality in the Texas 288 submarket,” adds Naef. At the center of the circular Amenity Village is the 60-foot Meridian Tower and in-ground sky map with markings etched into pavers to demonstrate the sun’s movement in relation to the earth. The sky map’s Solstice and Equinox lines track the sun’s movement while the Meridian Tower operates similar to a sun tower by casting a spot of sunlight on the ground that moves as the Earth rotates. The Meridian Tower and sky map are among several engaging learning and discovery experiences planned for the Texas 288 community where all ages can study the earth’s movement, the solar system, principles of gravity and velocity, wildlife habitats and more amidst an unprecedented community of new homes. Meridiana is located on Texas Highway 288 and Meridiana Parkway (formerly County Road 56) minutes south of the Texas Medical Center. It also is just north of several Brazoria County employers. METRO STAR Vanpool service also is available from the community. Masterfully designed, Meridiana offers new homes from the $230s to the $500s, including those in cul-de-sacs and secluded gated sections, by David Weekley Homes, CalAtlantic Homes, Highland Homes, Perry Homes, Plantation Homes, Shea Homes, Taylor Morrison and Trendmaker Homes. Nestled among lakes and winding trails, Meridiana’s homesites also are five feet deeper than those in other master-planned communities. Cane Island’s Living Arches, part of the Katy master-planned community’s impressive arrival experience, has won a Texas Star Award for Best Special Feature of a Community. Presented by the Texas Association of Builders, the Texas Star Awards showcase the outstanding work of builders, remodelers, architects, designers and sales, marketing and construction professionals throughout Texas. The award is the only statewide tribute to excellence in the home building industry. Stretching over Cane Island Parkway, Cane Island’s Living Arches are comprised of two steel sculptures incorporating hundreds of glass leaves and thousands of programmable LED lights which change colors with the seasons and for special occasions. A motion sensor activates the show as a car approaches, and its planter boxes allow for native Texas vines to grow and intertwine through the sculptures. “When we designed Cane Island, we wanted to create an arrival experience that says ‘you’re somewhere special,’” notes Dan Naef, president of Rise Communities, developer of Cane Island. “It’s certainly an honor to be recognized by our industry.” Cane Island also won Texas Star Awards for Best Showroom Sales Center and Best Sales Brochure by a developer.
