MANVEL/IOWA COLONY (March 23, 2016) – Highland Homes has opened the first new model home in Meridiana, the newest master-planned community on Texas Highway 288, where strong interest from homebuyers has home builders working feverishly to complete models and move-in ready homes well before the community’s grand opening this summer.
Highland’s new Meridiana model home, fully furnished and exceptionally decorated, is a two-story, five-bedroom showcase with stone elevation featuring an open concept gourmet kitchen/family room/dining ideal for entertaining, first-floor master suite, spacious secondary bedrooms, game room, study and three-car tandem garage.
Meridiana’s first new model home by Highland is open daily, Monday – Saturday, 10 a.m. – 7 p.m. and Sunday, noon – 7 p.m.

Homesites in Meridiana will range from 50 – 100 feet in width including those on cul-de-sacs and secluded gated sections. Meridiana homesites also will be five feet deeper than those in other master-planned communities.
Developed by Rise Communities, Meridiana is the newest master-planned community south of the Texas Medical Center on Texas Highway 288 and the future Meridiana Parkway (now County Road 56) just south of Highway 6. The 3,000-acre community also is minutes north of several major Brazoria County employers.
Meridiana offers new homes by David Weekley Homes, Highland Homes, Perry Homes, Plantation Homes, Ryland Homes, Shea Homes, Taylor Morrison and Trendmaker Homes.
The community also will feature a sprawling Amenity Village with a resort-style family pool with cabanas and nearby café, kids’ splash pad and a spacious fitness center with on-site personal trainer, spin bikes, free weights and exercise machines.
